What does a yellow tile mean?

For the country, yellow means your player is from the same continent as the mystery player. For years, it means you are close: within five years for a cricketer’s Test debut, and within three years for a footballer’s year of birth. The arrow shows whether the answer is later (up) or earlier (down).

When does the daily puzzle change?

There is one cricket puzzle and one football puzzle every day. Both change at midnight UTC, which is 5 am in Pakistan and 5:30 am in India.

Can I play more than once a day?

Yes. After the daily puzzle, press Practice to play unlimited random rounds. Practice games do not affect your daily streak.

How the clues work

Every guess is compared with the mystery player across several clues. For a cricketer you see country, role (batter, bowler, all-rounder or wicketkeeper), batting hand, bowling style and the year of their Test debut. For a footballer you see country, position, year of birth and whether they played at a World Cup.

Green means an exact match. Yellow on the country means the same continent, and yellow on a year means you are close. The arrow on a year tells you whether the answer is later or earlier.

A simple strategy

Start with a well-known player from a big cricket or football nation. The first row usually tells you the continent and the era, which cuts the list sharply. Next, fix the role or position: a bowler’s bowling style or a defender’s position rules out most of the pool at once.

Use the year arrows like a search. If the arrow points up from 1995 and down from 2010, the answer debuted or was born between them. Most puzzles can be solved in four or five guesses this way.
