Terms of Service

Last updated: August 23, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Laws of Sport. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Laws of Sport (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Nature of the Content

Laws of Sport is an independent educational and editorial reference resource. We codify and explain official sporting rules, playing field dimensions, equipment standards, and historical records for Football, Cricket, Tennis, and Basketball.

Official Laws of the Game and sporting regulations remain the intellectual property of their respective governing authorities (IFAB, FIFA, MCC, ICC, ITF, FIBA, NBA, and others). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any of these governing bodies. Where our summaries and the official rulebook differ, the governing body's published rulebook is always authoritative.

3. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability

Content is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and is not a substitute for consulting the official rulebook of the relevant governing body, particularly before officiating, competing, or making decisions with financial or competitive consequences.

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Laws of Sport and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information found on this Site.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: scrape or reproduce substantial portions of this Site's original editorial content without permission; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or administrative area; use the Site to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content; or interfere with the normal operation of the Site.

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

5. Intellectual Property

Original articles, comparisons, glossaries, and editorial summaries on this Site are the property of Laws of Sport and may not be republished in substantial part without prior written permission. Brief quotation with clear attribution and a link back to the source page is welcome.

Trademarks, competition names, and governing-body names referenced on this Site belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively for reference purposes only.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Site evolves. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
